Located an hour and half from downtown Aspen, lies Mount Massive, the second highest peak in Colorado at 14,421 feet

The most common route is the East Slope at 14.50 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of 4,500 feet or the Southwest Slope at 7.25 miles roundtrip with 3,950 feet of elevation gain.  Perched high over the town of Leadville the views of the greater Sawatch range are astounding.
