Chris ‘Sunshine’ Edwards
Chris ‘Sunshine’ Edwards was born in Detroit, MI and started skiing as a toddler visiting his grandparents who lived in the Vail Valley.
Learning how to telemark ski in the backcountry during college in Durango, CO. Sunshine started his ski guiding career in 2008, tail guiding for a hut operation in the Wallowa Mountains of Oregon. For 11 winters he worked as a Lead Ski Guide and an Avalanche Forecaster for the Wallowa Avalanche Center.
Sunshine is a certified AMGA ski guide and an AIARE Avalanche Course Leader. When he is not ski guiding in the Elk Mountains some of his favorite places to ski are Alaska, Japan, Chile, and our office in the San Juan Mountains. In the summer you can find him on the rivers of Colorado and Idaho with his wife Robyn.
