Art Burrows
Art is a fifth-generation Coloradoan whose family has been exploring the West for more than a century.
He has explored throughout Europe and Canada as a ski mountaineer, including the Wrangel – St. Elias range, a circumnavigation and descent of Mt. Logan, multiple ranges and peaks in British Columbia and Alberta as well as the Dolomites and southern Alps over the last 40 years. Art is a noted photographer and the co-author of the iconic book, Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America, and has designed multiple products for Black Diamond Equipment and Scarpa NA, including skis, boots, and avalanche safety products.
Art serves on the board of RFMBA and holds a pivotal role in planning, building, funding and maintaining more than 350 miles of single-track trails in three counties and six towns along the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers.
