Zach Benevento-Zahner
Growing up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Zach developed his love for the outdoors tromping around the Blue Ridge mountains. He became enchanted with the Rockies while attending Colorado College. During college, Zach hiked the Appalachian Trail where he honed his backpacking skills.
Zach moved to the Aspen area after graduation. When he’s not guiding backpacking and hiking in the summer and ski patrolling in the winter at Aspen Highlands, Zach enjoys exploring peak traverses in the Elk mountains, mountain biking, and backcountry skiing.
As a guide, Zach enjoys fostering wonder and appreciation for the outdoors while having fun, thoughtful conversations on the trail. He loves making extravagant backcountry meals and is always looking to try new recipes. Zach has a wilderness EMT and an AIARE Level 2 certification.
