Ski & Ride
Aspen is well-known as an international destination for skiers and snowboarders, and a big part of that charm — we firmly believe — lies with the legendary backcountry opportunities that often begin just beyond the boundaries of the four established resorts here.
Backcountry skiing and riding is what we love to do in the winter. Since 1977, we've been delivering custom adventures and educational opportunities for clients of all ability levels with our AMGA trained ski and mountain guides.
We specialize in private ski guiding throughout the winter including lift-accessed ski descents from all 4 ski resorts. Frequent avalanche-education courses and backcountry ski camps also feature strongly into our program, which is designed to offer many points of entry for newcomers and veterans to further their own journeys as safe backcountry travelers.
Our guides are well-connected in the local and national backcountry communities, and we urge you to consider us whether you're interested in furthering your own avalanche education (or just beginning it), going with your family or buddies on a ski hut trip, tackling a local classic like Mt. Sopris, Ski Hayden or Castle Peak, or getting a taste of some adventure skiing off the backside of one of the local ski resorts (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass).
Lift Access BC Ski/Ride
$ 595.00
-
For many resort skiers and snowboarders, there is something decidedly romantic, wild west and even risqué, perhaps, about riding a chairlift up the ski area, then exiting the ski area and skiing down untracked chutes and bowls potentially as far down as the valley floor.
The mountains of the Elk Range and the access provided by our local ski areas — Aspen Mt., Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk — combine to make Aspen/Snowmass an incredible destination for backcountry skiers. From the top of a lift, a short hike — or just a traverse, in some cases — opens up infinite options for hand-crafted backcountry skiing tours.
Depending on snow conditions and specific clients' ambitions, our AMGA-certified guides will tailor a memorable, one-of-a-kind untracked adventure just for you and your group.
