Women's Crack Climbing in Indian Creek

Women’s Moab Climbing Clinic

  • Duration 5 Days
  • Rock Climbing

Join us for our 5-day Women’s Climbing Clinic in Moab this spring and fall!

Our AMGA certified guides will share their expertise and train you on a variety of techniques to give you the tools to tackle your climbing objectives. Our lower client/guide ratio (4:1) ensures you get the dedicated attention. Join us in the desert next spring May 10-14, 2025 with IFMGA guide Mia Tucholke! Meals and lodging are not included, but you can discuss options in the pre-trip meeting. There are lots of camping, glamping, Airbnb, and other lodging options in Moab and Monticello. The guide can recommend options that are convenient.

Our tentative itinerary:

  • Day 1 – Intro to sport climbing and/or learn to lead if desired. Cleaning top anchors and rappelling skills.
  • Day 2 – Placing trad gear, intro to trad climbing, and anchor building. Belaying from the top and intro to multi pitch.
  • Day 3 – Adventure day! This may include climbing an easy multi-pitch climb, climb an arch, go canyoneering, explore native dwellings etc. Participants will discuss options with the guide.
  • Day 4 – Crack climbing at Indian Creek. Learn the art of jamming the different sized crack.
  • Day 5 – Crack climbing at Indian Creek. Explore the next level.

All participants must be 18 years old or older and have their own transportation. Climbing around Moab does require a bit of driving. This course will expose the participants to unique locations with varied sandstone climbing. The guides will tailor the course to the needs of the participants. This course does require some climbing experience (can climb a minimum of 5.6 outdoors or 5.8 indoors) It is primarily geared towards those who are relatively new to the sport and to those who are ready to learn to lead. This course welcomes all women identifying folk.
